Blog Day 512 - Thursday 26 August 2021 - Day 21 of Covid Lockdown V6.0 As a bit of a distraction from the covid stuff going on around us I have been keeping an eye on the air traffic in and out of Kabul in Afghanistan by way of the "flightradar24" app. Apart from military aircraft flying directly to and from Kabul airport to airports in the UAE and the odd US air force refuelling tanker flying in lazy loops near the Afghani/Pakistan border there are no other aircraft flying in Afghani airspace. Interestingly at 12.30pm (AEST) today which is around 7.00am this morning in Kabul, when I am typing this part of the blog, there is not one aircraft flying in Afghani airspace. Usually when I have a look there are at least 4 or 5 American aircraft in the air over Afghanistan or on the ground at Kabul plus a couple of RAF aircraft and one or two from other countries including Australia.
