Blog Day 662 - Monday 31 January 2022 - Day 93 of Covid Nearly Normal Still hot and humid, this has been going on for nearly week now and I have had nearly enuff. At nearly 12.00 midday it is 30 degrees outside with 61% humidity. Last Friday we had 35 degrees and my little weather monitor was telling me that it was nearly 90% humidity. That was before the thunderstorm, the hail, the torrential rain and the flooding. Around 3.00pm on Friday afternoon, there was lots of thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me!. The hail was large lumps of ragged ice, not the nice smooth round hailstones that we usually get. And then there was the flooding, I have attached some photos below showing my street and the corner of my street and East Boundary Road. I have a sump type drain in my driveway, which was working backwards and instead of taking water away it was delivering water.
