Blog Day 11: Friday 03 April 2020

You may recall I mentioned some time ago that I was working on a vaccine for this accursed virus.  Well everything was going along swimmingly until my test ferrets ran away.  I think they saw the size of the needle and worked out where it was going to be inserted, their beady little eyes watered a bit and then they were off like rats up a drainpipe, so to speak.  They must still be in the neighborhood cause there are a lot less cats hanging around my backyard.

So, given my work on the virus vaccine has ground to a halt I am working on the next most essential item to combat the killer virus - a cheap, practical, home ventilator that can be produced from material that you would have around the house.  I am using my new LG stick vacuum cleaner as the basis for the ventilator, I just have to work out how to tone down the sucking and blowing aspect a bit.  At the moment on the suck cycle you would end up with little bits of lung in the little glass container at the top of the machine and on the blow cycle, well all that extra air would have to come out somewhere. So a work in progress with a little development still to take place, maybe I can get a grant from the government, they seem to be flush with funds at the moment.  I will be looking for test subjects sometime in the future if you want to put your name on the list.  Unlike the ferrets there will be no needles involved.

I have been checking around for the availability of flu shots, I reckon by the time I get mine it will be next year's flu season!

Today I have patrolled to the West to the badlands otherwise known as Bentleigh.  Again all appears to be well although I think a detected a little unrest bubbling along below the surface.  The Bentleigh folk are not the god fearing, law respecting people the residents of Bentleigh East are.

Apart from all of that everything is going along nicely here, looking forward to the Zoom trivia night tonight.
