Blog Day 17: Thursday 09 April 2020
When I was heading out for my lockdown friendly walk today I happened to notice this in the sky. It took me a little while to work out that it was an Easter message and I think it was saying that God/Jesus loves us. That set me to thinking, which is sometimes a dangerous thing, if God loves us so much why has he or she inflicted this terrible pandemic upon us, his/her subjects. Its a funny way of showing your love.
Then, what about the Pope, god's representative on earth. Does the Pope still have infallibility, if so why doesn't he use his infallibility to invent a vaccine to fight this virus that his boss has inflicted on us. Or maybe the Pope was allegedly too busy defending alleged kiddy fiddlers to worry about the rest of us. Crikey, this is getting complicated. And so endeth the lesson. (The extent of my theological studies was 3 years of Sunday school at the Burnie Methodist church, pre Uniting Church. As you could imagine the Pope didn't score much of a mention there).
Due to popular demand I have included today another in the exciting but irregular series of "What's In The Pantry Graeme"?
Funny, it doesn't have a use by date. By way of a competition I am open to suggestions of what I can do with this product. You might have a serving suggestion or a suggestion that you think is amusing or even what wine could be served with it. Roger, maybe it could feature in your next virtual Hump Club dinner.
That will do for today, got to save some of the really exciting stuff for Good Friday.
Cheers and keep safe.

This gets updated daily and is more accurate than worldometers:

Currently we have more people recovering that getting covid-19 so pretty soon we should be in a position to think about lowering restrictions in some way.
Thanks Andrew will have a look at that site.
DeleteYet again more interesting than my day, “ no god loves you in my skies”.
ReplyDeleteMaybe back to basics and just tomato sauce.
All the same I am sure that whichever god you have he or she loves you.
DeleteJust catching up. I liked your dissertation on the values espoused in Zulu. "Zulus sir, fousands of 'em." I think that was PTE Smiff.
ReplyDeleteSmiff with one F or two.
