Blog Day 23: Wednesday 15 April 2020

Andrew, you will be pleased to see that I now have the correct date at the top of the blog page.  I was in the settings area looking for something else and I found how to correct the date and time.

I would like to thank two of my regular contributors for their suggestions as to what I can do with my tinned corned mutton and thank you for keeping your comments nice, considering this is a family blog.

Being a bit bored last night I had a look to if there was anything interesting on Netflix and I discovered some new episode of the Windsors.  The Windsors is a British comedy series taking the mickey out of the royal family, very funny and very close to the real thing I reckon.  Well worth a look at it you want a laugh.  Last night's episode had Harry marrying Malcolm Turnbull's daughter to save the Commonwealth - "the most important organisation in the world". Good fun.

Here is an idea that I have come up with whilst on my walk.  I reckon in these troubled times a lot of people would get a lot of comfort out of having a pet but wouldn't be prepared to have one long term.  Hence "Rent a Pet".  I would need to do a deal with a pet shelter and hire some dogs and cats on a weekly basis for a nominal amount, and then I rent said cats and dogs out to the lonely and desperate for a much larger amount.  Daily, weekly or monthly hire and at the end of the hire period the pet is returned to me and I give it back to the pound to await whatever fate was in the offing.  Hiring rates would depend on the size, breed, temperament and nature of the animal.

Open to suggestions as to how I could improve on this plan and open to investments of whatever sum you are comfortable with donating, sorry I mean investing.

Well, I reckon that is enough creative thinking for one day, almost like being at work.

Current Virus Stats Day 100

Vic: 1,299 infected (+8 from previous day) - 14 deaths (increase 0)
Aus: 6,440 infected (+46 from previous day) - 63 deaths (increase 2)
Recovered: 2,186 Australian Newspaper, 3,598 Aus Gov Dept of Health (huge variance)
World: 1,973,715

Still mainly using figures from newspapers, the Dept of Health stats are running at least 24 hours behind.  Even then there are variances between the various papers.  Just doing my best here folk.
