School was back today - lovely to see the kids again. However, considering that 17-19 year olds are pretty much like adults when it comes to transmission of the virus, I have a feeling we will be in lockdown again soon. It's hard enough to get kids to tie their hair back and tuck their shirts in. Now add social distance and mask. So essentially we just had thousands of students back, in a situation where they were not socially distancing and were not always follow the rules. 2 weeks from today I predict a spike in numbers...

DeleteIt worse now - kids and parents for the most part are largely apathetic to the whole situation. Some staff as well. We have no chance. Appears like it's spreading in NSW as well. Thankfully I was told that people in NSW are better behaved - although that did seem contrary to all available evidence...
