Blog Day 519 - Thursday 02 Sept 2021 - Day 28 of Covid Lockdown V6.0 (Extended)

Dear and gentle reader I must apologise for a bit of a hiatus in the production of the blog, I know how much it adds to your dull and dreary routine however some personal matters have distracted me from the blog for a few days and it may be a little irregular in days to come.  However don't let this absence dissuade you from continuing the support the free press by your regular and much valued contributions to my GoFundMe page.

I haven't had much of a chance to have a look at the updated virus figures apart from seeing that they appear to be on the up and up especially in NSW and lesser so in Victoria, but even so the Victorian figures are a cause for concern.  It would appear that NSW is reporting deaths on a daily basis, with seven in the last 24 hours.

I see that the vaccination figures are continuing to climb with 36% of Victorians now fully vaccinated and 58% having received their first inoculation.   Nationally 36.4% are double jabbed and 60.5 single jabbed.  Victoria has announced that in an effort to speed up the vaccination process they are reducing the time gap between the 1st and 2nd AstraZeneca to 6 weeks instead of 12.

I will try and do a more substantial blog tomorrow but I wanted to touch base today so that you wouldn't think that I had been kidnapped by Irish gypsies or fallen down a mine shaft.
