Blog Day 593 - Saturday 20 November 2021 - Day 22 of Covid Nearly Normal
I have been a bit distracted by other events in my life over the last few days, (curse you relaxation of the covid rules), and although I am not creating a full blog today I thought that I had better touch base in case some of my many dear readers were concerned about me. No, I haven't been kidnapped by gypsies, been kneecapped by the Irish mafia or fallen down a mine shaft.
I may not have mentioned it in the blog but a couple of months ago a dear friend of mine passed away due to an aggressive type of cancer. I am executor of the estate which has involved a little of my time and today we have the scattering of the ashes.
As I have said in the past the pandemic is the gift that keeps on giving and there has been so much good covid related stuff happening in Victoria that I must wait until I have time to do it all justice in the blog, so that won't be today or possibly tomorrow, so look forward to a bumper edition of the blog one day next week.
As a bit of a teaser, the premier was complaining that some protesters were "going to hang him in Effigy". Well if I was going to be hung in Effigy I would keep away from the place.
A little bit of covid news, although the daily infection rate in Victoria has been over 1,000 cases in the last few day, the hospital, ICU and ventilator cases continue to drop. Hopefully this is what high rates of vaccination achieves.
Cheers, for now.......
