Blog day 4: Friday 27 March 2020

At last some good news, I think that I have developed a corona virus vaccine and only using common household goods, that is if you have a ready supply of battery acid.  Anyway the ingredients are currently top secret until I get the patents in place.  It seems to work as I have been taking it for 5 days and so far I haven't caught the virus.  The only downfall is that it is currently taken in the form of a suppository and it is rather large so it tends to bring a tear to the eye although as time goes by it is getting easier (and almost enjoyable) to take ones medicine, so to speak.  Further updates to come.

But now for some real good news, I learnt yesterday that a young couple who are friends of mine are due to have their second child in September, so congratulations and well done them.

This morning I went to the local Woolies supermarket and much to my surprise the car park was half empty and there was toilet paper on the shelves.  The shop wasn't particularly busy and there appeared to be some availability of most things. I don't think that the toilet paper was going to last much longer, particularly after I took my ten packets (I should apologise to that little old lady, teach her to get in my way), there were no paper towels, no hand sanitiser and very little soap. However plenty of fresh fruit and veg, meat and grocery items.  Also plenty of wine and vodka but rationing to start on booze on Monday at Woolies anyway.  The proposed daily limits appear to be very generous so no need to panic buy just yet, in my opinion anyway, others may disagree.

I now have my toilet paper stacked so that it is like a little table next to the toilet and I can sit my drink, phone and magazine on there, sort of like a coffee table.  Very convenient I reckon.

If you are looking for some funny light amusement on the telly I highly recommend "8 out of 10 cats do countdown" on at various times on SBS, very funny and a welcome distraction.

I think that will do for today, if I say too much I won't have anything left for future episodes.

Current virus stats Day 80

Vic: 574 infected (+54 from previous day) - 3 deaths
Aus:3059 infected (+381) - 13 deaths
World: 531,708

  2. Thank you for your kind and supportive remarks. If anybody would like to support my vaccine research financially it would be much appreciated.
