Blog day 7: Monday 30 March 2020
Last evening I spent a very convivial virtual happy hour with Roger and Penny in Cairns and Jo in Hawthorn via the good graces of Zoom. Once we got the technical aspects and the lighting worked out it worked remarkably well, with both voice and picture coming in loud and clear from all parties. As an aside Jo appeared to be drinking her wine out of the largest wine glass in existence but she insisted it was an optical illusion caused by the angle of the camera lens or some such. Yes of course Jo we all believe you.
Hot cross buns for morning tea this morning, I don't care if it is not Easter, this is a national emergency!
One of my many readers has requested some technical assistance. She has asked is it possible to post a photo in the comments section of the blog. Please let us know if you know how to do this or have any suggestions.
Thanks for all the entries in the "What's in the pantry" competition, of course it was the makins for a simple bloody mary, sans the tomato juice of course.
Looks like that is it for today, chin up and be of good cheer.
Current virus stats Day 84
Vic: 821 infected (+52 from previous day) - 4 deaths
Aus: 4,163 infected (+501 from previous day) - 17 deaths (increase of 2)
World: 721,584
I am soooooo shattered. My suggestion for lamb shanks did not even get an honorable mention. I was the only one who did not have alcohol on my mind but clearly I am competing against a group who are well versed in alcoholic mixes not to mention drinking wine from glasses the size of buckets. OK I'm dusting off the copper distillery and setting about sourcing some dark chocolate and burnt peat. And I have no intention of sharing so ha.
ReplyDeleteBit testy Richard .......
DeleteSorry, I forgot that we live in a time when every child has to win a prize, so therefore an honourable mention to Richard for his suggested lamb shanks and vodka concoction. PS let me know when the still is up and running.
DeleteYou only made it to day 7? Two days behind already - Iso already getting the better of you?
ReplyDeleteI suggest that you look again and you will see that the blog is running in both chronological and numerical order. But thank you for your interest in my isolated well being.
DeleteAh, I'm looking at the date above which say 29th
